DAFS has two research projects shortlisted for the University’s Impactful Research Prize.The Somali Village Project and our Submerged Landscapes Research Centre are competing with another 6 projects from across the university for the prize. The award will follow a public vote - so register for attendance and support the Department (booking form here).The award will take place on Monday 6th July at 1pm in WG08 (Workshop Block) – and the order of the is as follows:

13:00 - 13:15: 15-minute intro from R&I PVC Sherif El-Khamisy
13:15 – 14:15: 4x presentations
14:15 - 14:30: 15-minute break with tea/coffee/cakes
14:30 - 15:30: 4x presentations
15:30 -15:40: Public vote on winner / 5 minutes each from Institute leads
15:40 - 15:45: Winners announcement and presentation.
15:45 - 16:30: Optional networking / browsing of Igloo space.
