SLC and DAFS lead welcome to a special guest from BNBU!

12 May by James Walker

On Monday 11th May, staff from the University of Bradford, including a core contingent of representatives from DAFS, welcomed Professor Patrick Chau, Provost of Beijing Normal Baptist University of Hong Kong to visit our campus. Throughout the day, we gave Patrick a tour of our campus and facilities, and showcased various research strengths within the department and university more broadly. Submerged Landscapes Research was one of two core strengths within DAFS (and the university more broadly) to be showcased for Professor Chau.

Professor Chau, in turn, highlighted the unique profile of BNBU and potential synergy for a growing relationship between our two institutions. It was a pleasure and an honour to host Professor Chau, and we look forward to continuing our discussions with a return visit to BNBU by the SLC's very own Professor Vince Gaffney later this month where he will give a series of further lectures about ongoing work being undertaken by DAFS.
