Dr Rachel Harding (MSDS Marine) presented at the Geological Society of London’s Shackleton Conference on Submerged Quaternary Landscapes, focusing on the Taken at the Flood Project and specifically on survey over the Southern River and Sheringham Shoal Channels. Rachel presented recent insights into landscape development following the end of the last ice age, and some sneak peaks at prehistoric lithics found by dredging and grab sampling undertaken by the project. Recent finds present food for thought for how we deal with palaeolandscapes and submerged prehistoric archaeological potential when working offshore in the future!
