Simon Fitch in China
17 Jan by Vince Gaffney
SLRC researcher, and UKRI Future Leaders fellow, Dr Simon Fitch visited the Chinese National Centre for Archaeology, in Beijing. Whilst there he visited the Institute of Underwater Archaeology and met Dr. Guoqing Liang (Deputy Director of Institute of Underwater Archaeology, National Centre for Archaeology), and marine archaeologist, Dr. Guangcan Xin. During the meeting, Simon visited the Institute’s labs dedicated to scientific applications, floral and faunal studies. Simon and NCA staff discussed issues relating to marine palaeolandscape studies in the UK and China, and invitations to continue discussions were given and received. Researchers in Bradford look forward to hearing more about palaeolandscape research by our colleagues in China.
