Simon Fitch in China

SLRC rearcher, and UKRI Future Leaders fellow, Dr Simon Fitch visited the Chinese National Centre for Archaeology, in Beijing. Whiilst there he visited the Institute of Underwater Archaeology and met Dr. Guoqing Liang (Deputy Director of Institute of Underwater Archaeology, National Centre for Archaeology), and marine archaeologist, Dr. Guangcan Xin. During the meeting, Simon visited the Institute’s labs dedicated to scientific applications, floral and faunla studies. Simon and NCA staff disscussed issues relating to marine palaeolandscape studies in the UK and China, annd invitations to continue discussions were given and recieved. Researchers in Bradford look forward to hearing more about palaeolandscape research by our colleagues in China.
