A team the SLC’s Taken at the Flood project, along with the Flemish Marine Institute (VLIZ), are on board the Simon Stevin Research ship and have returned to the Brown Bank and Southern River to carry out survey and dredging to enhance our knowledge of these key archaeological areas and to refine methdologies for recovery of archaeological material from the deeper areas of the southern North Sea. Drs James Walker, Rachel Harding and Ruth Pletts (VLIZ) are on the Simon Stevin alongside AUV operators from VLIZ, and have begun retrieval of material and detailed mapping of these areas.
